Description

Mutual Solvent

Introduction

the mutual solvent that is used for maintaining a water-wet formation after the acid stimulation. The mutual solvent is used to prevent the adsorption of other acidizing additives on the formation minerals which results in preventing the formation of emulsions, cleansing the formation, wetting the formation, minimizing corrosion, and reducing terminal upsets caused by emulsions.

Applications

effective at all bottom-hole temperatures. This chemical is mainly used to prevent/reduce the adsorption of surfactants on the formation. Therefore, in the non-acid, acid pre-flush, and over-flush stages, as well as the HF-acid stage, presence is required.

Benefits

  • prevents the adsorption of surfactant onto formation minerals, thus improving

the efficiency of acidizing fluids

  • utilizes the separation of oil deposits from mineral deposits, thus allowing more

complete treatment-fluid contact

  • compatible with other acid additives
  • Using allows a faster return to production due to a better well clean-up
  • can be used to break SDVES’s gel after acid diversion is completed
