Delament-250-Retarder-Cement Additives

The most important function of oil & gas well primary cementing is to isolate the various zones within the wellbore.
In others words, the cement must prevent fluids or gases in one particular zone from mingling with those of another. A properly designed and placed cement slurry accomplishes this by creating the necessary seal between the casing and the formation. The cement must prevent migration or fluid channeling
throughout the cement.
Today’s well cement systems must perform in a variety of down hole conditions, from 0 °C – over 350 °C., and at bottom hole pressures in excess of 30,000 psi.
PEPCO has developed a complete line of cement additives, which modify the characteristics and performance of the cement slurry. This means that a slurry can be designed to function over the wide range of conditions that occur in the wellbore.

Delament-250

Delament-250 retarder is a non-lignosulfonate cement retarder that helps simplify the design of thixotropic slurries. Delament-250 retarder is effective in freshwater slurries at bottom-hole circulating temperatures (BHCTs) up to 250°F (121°C). In saturated salt slurries, this retarder can be used at BHCTs between 250°F and 350°F (121°C and 177°C, respectively). When combined with certain retarder-enhancing agents, Delament-250 retarder can be used in freshwater cement systems at BHCTs as high as 430°F (221°C). When used with Delament-9 additive, Delament-23 additive, or Delament-766 additive, Delament-250 retarder helps the cement slurry become thixotropic. When thixotropy is not required, Delament-250 retarder can be used with any fluid-loss additive to help bridge temperature gaps.
