The most important function of oil & gas well primary cementing is to isolate the various zones within the wellbore.
In others words, the cement must prevent fluids or gases in one particular zone from mingling with those of another. A properly designed and placed cement slurry accomplishes this by creating the necessary seal between the casing and the formation. The cement must prevent migration or fluid channeling throughout the cement.
Today’s well cement systems must perform in a variety of down hole conditions, from 0 °C – over 350 °C., and at bottom hole pressures in excess of 30,000 psi.

Fixtreng-230 agent is powdered sand that helps oil well cement maintain low permeability and high compressive strength under high-temperature condition. Fixtreng-230 agent is recommended for use in cementing wells where static temperatures exceed 230°F. Above this temperature, most cement compositions exhibit satisfactory compressive strength after the initial set but will rapidly lose strength after continued exposure to high temperatures. Fixtreng-230 agent helps prevent this problem by chemically reacting with the cement at high temperatures. Fixtreng-230 agent has been widely used in thermal recovery wells in combination with refractory-type cements.
